Are you really surprised that Obama couldn't create shovel ready jobs?

I have been put to work using a Mexican backhoe quite often the last year. Most were commercial and educational construction sites that are drying up quickly, the new and improved college campuses are mostly built and now many young are wasting time and money in getting a degree with dim prospects for the future.
