I like him, but does he?

I've been talking to this guy for about a month or so now. He texts me everyday but only to say have a good day or have a good night. I kinda like him but I don't know whether he likes me as well... We've hung out twice and had a great time together and he always insisted on paying for everything . Sometimes I feel like he's hinting that he likes me but every once in a while he calls me homie... I hate when he calls me that but I don't know whether that means he sees me only as a friend... Can you guys please help me out? and how do i tell him that i like him without him running the other way??
