Care to give Dragon Quest 9 help?

What are some things I can do after getting the fygg in the Desert? I'm level 28. By things, I mean other fyggs (side quests aren't needed but accepted). And where the Hell is that damn key for the jail cell past the magic door beneath Queen Voluptua's private bath? I'm a fiend for treasure..........homie.
